Zencontrol’s smart switches have versatile applications. They can control both wired and wireless DALI-2 devices and can function in two modes. The first mode is standalone, where a single switch can serve as the sole control device on the network. In the second mode, networked standalone mode, multiple switches and sensors can work together as part of a larger DALI-2 Wired or Wireless network.

Additionally, Zencontrol’s smart switches can be integrated into building-wide control systems where multiple DALI-2 Wired and Wireless networks work in unison.

Some smart switches which have both wireless and Wired interfaces can also operate as a Bridge that can connect wired and wireless networks together.

Adding a smart switch to control DALI-wired applications

A smart switch is wired to mains power and the DALI line. A DALI-2 power supply is required to power the DALI Bus. This could be any DALI-2 Compliant power supply like the zencontrol zc-psu-70 or zc-psu.

Adding a smart switch to control wireless lighting

A smart switch is wired to a mains power supply and is wireless connected to other wireless lighting.

Adding a smart switch to control DALI wired and wireless lighting

A smart switch can be connected to both a DALI-2 Wired Bus and wireless lighting allowing the control of wireless and Wired devices simultaneously.

Combining a Smart switch and Smart sensor on a Wired DALI-2 Network

Smart switches and smart sensors can be wired to the same DALI-2 network and can function together. On smart sensors that are provided with an inbuilt DALI-2 PSU no additional DALI-2 power supply is required unless the DALI line exceeds 30mA of DALI power Draw.

Combining a Smart sensor and IOT Bridge in a wired DALI-2 Network

Smart switches and smart sensors can be wired to the same DALI-2 network and can function together. On smart sensors that are provided with an inbuilt DALI-2 PSU no additional DALI-2 power supply is required unless the DALI line exceeds 30mA of DALI power Draw. The IOT Bridge requires power from the DALI line which is provided by the inbuilt DALI-2 PSU of the Smart sensor.

An IOT Bridge and smart sensor can be connected to the same wireless network and can function together. The IOT bridge requires a DALI-2 power supply such as a zc-PSU-70 or zc-psu
