Lux Controller

Smart sensors with a Lux sensor have inbuilt Lux level controllers. The following modes can be set on the smart device:

Daylight Harvesting
Maintains the lighting level to match the lux sensors tracking level. This mode is designed to reduce the artificial lighting level in the presence of natural light which should result in power savings for the occupant.

  • Lux controller

Dusk Mode
Enables the Motion sensor on the device when the sensors lux level is below the user configured level. This mode turns the motion sensor on when the light level goes too low, normally at Dusk. This ensures that the lighting is not on during the day.

Glare Reducing Mode
When the lux sensor reads a level higher than the set point, it will increase the primary targets ARC level at a rate of 1 step per 30 seconds. Once the lighting in a room gets too high from the external natural light, the sensor will increase the brightness of the primary group to reduce the glare caused by the external lighting being too bright while the internal lighting is too low.

  • Lux controller

Day Tracking
Scales the light fittings ARC level between two lux sensor set points. Allows the lighting to get brighter as the external lighting gets brighter. This can be capped by adjusting the Minimum level and Maximum level on the LED drivers.

Bright Step
Continually step the primary targets light level up if the lux sensor reads above the High setpoint or continually step the primary targets light level down if the lux sensor reads below the Low setpoint. This is ideal for backlit signage and will make the lighting bright when the outside lighting is bright and will dim the lighting when the outside lighting is low.
