Meet Allan Organ, our lighting control innovator and standards champion!

Allan has been a cornerstone of the zencontrol team, with 12 years of expertise in lighting control development. With a background in engineering and a passion for innovation, Allan is our go-to expert for all things related to lighting standards and control solutions.

In his role, Allan wears many hats. A typical day for Allan involves engaging with our customers to develop new solutions to lighting and control challenges, ensuring zencontrol stays at the forefront of industry innovation.

Allan’s contributions to the field were recently recognised with the prestigious Outstanding Contribution to Standards Award at the 2023 National Awards for Excellence in Lighting. This accolade highlights his significant impact on the industry.

Allan’s expertise encompasses various crucial areas. He’s authored Edition 2 of the emergency test and monitoring standard, developed colour sensor and general purpose sensor standards, and represents Australia on IEC’s TC34 – WG 11 for the IEC 62386 (DALI) standards. He also contributes to domestic committees adapting international standards to AU/NZ needs and is a member of the DALI Alliance’s Test and Certification working group.

As a new Dad, time outside the office is spent hanging out with his baby daughter, catching up on sleep, adventures in the outdoors or embracing a new challenges by learning Norwegian.
