Beacons allow for third party applications to use positioning data through a building, or for zencontrol applications to use the local lighting beacon to give local control within a room without setup complexity.
Smart devices provide support for Eddystone and Apple iBeacon technologies, which can be enabled or disabled through the zencontrol express app. The following modes are supported:
Beacons disabled;
Both Eddystone and iBeacon functionalities are turned off.
Eddystone and iBeacon enabled;
Enables the usage of both Eddystone and iBeacon technologies simultaneously.
Eddystone beacon enabled;
iBeacon disabled: Activates only the Eddystone beacon functionality while disabling iBeacon.
iBeacon enabled;
Eddystone disabled: Enables only the iBeacon functionality while disabling Eddystone.
By selecting the appropriate mode, users can configure the beacon capabilities of the smart devices according to their specific needs and preferences. This allows for the utilization of Eddystone and iBeacon technologies to enhance location-based services, proximity-based interactions, and other applications that rely on beacon functionality.
Beacon transmit power
This allows the installer to vary the beacon transmit power to suit the environment or if the wrong beacon is being selected.
Beacon Payload
This allows the advertising data to be changed by the installer.
Beacon advertising interval
This allows the advertising interval to be changed by the installer.
