Bridge mode
Bridge mode facilitates the integration of both wireless and wired networks.
Enabled (default setting)
When bridge mode is enabled, commands can be transmitted from the wireless network to the wired network. This allows for the seamless combination of both wired and wireless products within the same DALI network.
Disabled
When Bridge Mode is disabled, commands from either the wired or wireless network are not transmitted between each other. This mode enables the use of different application controllers to achieve independent control over various devices.
Example 1
Consider a combo device that includes a DALI Driver and a DALI emergency Inverter. When bridge mode is disabled, a wired control system can communicate with the device to turn the lighting on or off. Simultaneously, a wireless control system can be used to perform emergency tests and monitoring. (same device connected with two control systems)
Example 2
In the case of a combo device equipped with a sensor and emergency inverter, the standalone mode could utilize the sensors to control the lighting on the wireless network. Meanwhile, a wired DALI control system could perform emergency tests and monitoring.
Example 3
When bridge mode is enabled a Wireless DALI network can be extended to control a wired DALI Network. This may be used to control existing products, where range is a problem, when experiencing interference or when a wireless alternative is unavailable.
