Smart switches and sensors support automatic addressing of the wired DALI line, providing convenient installation and customization options.
In this mode, the installer has the flexibility to set the starting address that the addressing will begin from. When enabled, power cycling the sensor triggers a device check, ensuring that any newly discovered devices are addressed accordingly. If the “starting address” has been pre-set, the smart device will assign addresses starting from that specified address, otherwise addressing will start at address 0.
Once addressed, users can utilize the zencontrol express app to configure groups, scenes, and other settings for the connected DALI lighting products. This capability streamlines the commissioning process for installers, allowing them to use the app to efficiently set up a room filled with DALI devices. It is particularly useful for various room installations such as boardrooms, offices, kitchens, and similar environments.
