The behaviour of a smart device determines how it operates. Each target of the smart device can be assigned a specific behaviour, allowing for the implementation of more intricate functionalities. By leveraging different behaviours for each target, complex operations can be achieved. By default, all targets of a smart device have the same behaviour, but this can be modified in the smart settings section of the zencontrol app.

For instance, consider the example of a switch’s behaviour when pressed. You can choose a behaviour that functions as a simple on/off switch or opt for a different behaviour that transforms it into a dimmer switch capable of adjusting the brightness levels with a long press.
